Emma and Matt are high school sweethearts, and honestly just sweethearts in general. For their engagement session, we did a two-part session in a bar with fun, off-camera flash moments for editorial vibes and then we ended their session on their property , where their wedding day would take place. Flash forward, and here it is: tented wedding in the heart of the midwest. 360 degree views, an intimate backyard ceremony, a tent pitched in the front, and all of their favorite people in one place.
They signed their wedding certificate in their kitchen, walked 200 feet and danced the night away under the stars. It was a day that didn't require transportation between a bunch of different locations, but allowed them to breathe and be present while staying in the same spot. With a timeless approach with editorial flare, this day I was focused on maintaining documentary approach and organic moments. Because of that, the emotions of everyone shined through, and the final gallery is an unfiltered version of joy, love, nostalgia, and celebration.
