In the most genuine sense, don't overthink it. In a world where a lot of things can be all-consuming, I don't want this experience to be one of them. It really can be that simple. I'm here to make your life easier through an involved and considerate experience that allows for you to live your life, and in exchange, receive preserved memories that will last a lifetime and longer.
Connecting:
I love working with people I would see myself being friends with in the real world. Getting to know each other and having a good time is the best way to build the trust necessary when working together. Before booking, I like to meet face-to-face either over zoom, facetime, or in-person.
Being In Front of My Camera:
Most of my couples tell me "we aren't picture people." It's intimidating to be in front of the camera, I get it. I promise you cannot mess up photos of yourself - I mean it. My job is to pick up on your natural instincts and let them be the guide. I will give you the guidance and space that provides you with the freedom to be yourselves while leaving the door open for opportunities to have fun and get creative! My ultimate goal is to document you in a state where you feel safe to let your guard down. But don't worry, I'll ease you in!
My Mindset:
I am walking into your wedding day with the mindset of observation. How your day happens, that's what I want your images to reflect. I always say we'll get the classic portraits "for the wall," but beyond that, I want the day to be as organic as possible. The pressure isn't on you. Your job is not to perform, it is to live. Besides, those will most likely the photos you love the most, and I'm here to play the long game. Being present is the most important thing you can be on your wedding day.
My Vision:
I aim for my work to be showcased through true-tone edits with an enhanced, timeless finish. I utilize film and polaroid mediums to spark nostalgia in my work. I want your photos to feel lived in. When we flip back through photo albums from the 90's and early 2000's, there's an element of authenticity that exists in every photo. It was before we all knew how to pose and be camera-ready at all times. The photos were the proof of the moments, the moments weren't planned around photo-ops. You deserve a photo gallery that is singular to you. Your moments, your people, your memories, preserved beautifully for you to look back on as a time capsule of your life as you currently know it.
